Sengi Basic’s 3,000 free credits are worth $3 at every size; GitHub’s row uses GitHub Team’s $18 of included usage; Blacksmith’s free minutes are applied at 2 vCPU only, because its pricing page does not say how they count at larger sizes. Per-minute rates at every size are in every runner compared, and the 100,000-minute month at 2, 4 and 8 vCPU is in what 100,000 GitHub Actions minutes cost.

Runners priced another way

These publish one size, sell arm64 only or charge a flat monthly price, so they do not fit the table above:

RunnerHow you pay
CRACI$0.002 per vCPU-minute, metered per second, no monthly fee: $0.004 a minute for its default 2 vCPU, 6 GB runner.
tempus.buildPer minute, billed per second, from a prepaid balance; 8 vCPU on request; GitHub organizations; runs in the EU.
Bitrise Build HubLinux Medium (4 vCPU, 16 GB) at $0.0125 a minute from a monthly budget, plans from $13.50 a month billed yearly; pay-as-you-go past the budget is twice the rate and off by default.
FlameWillarm64 only, in the EU, per minute from a prepaid balance; x64 listed as coming.
Cirrus Runners$150 a month per runner with unlimited minutes; the Linux x86 runner is 16 vCPU and 48 GB, and you buy one runner per job you want running at once.
Actuated$150 a month for the first server and $125 for each additional one, unlimited minutes, on servers you provide.

When is Sengi the wrong fit?

  • macOS, Windows, arm64 or GPU jobs. Sengi runs Ubuntu 24.04 on Linux x64 only. Keep those jobs where they are and move the Linux x64 jobs; the runner is chosen job by job.
  • More than 8 vCPU. Sengi’s sizes are 2, 4 and 8 vCPU with 8, 16 and 32 GB.
  • Jobs that must run inside your own cloud account or network. Sengi is hosted; RunsOn, WarpBuild’s bring-your-own-cloud runners or Actuated keep the machines yours.

Before you compare bills, read the pricing traps: overage rates, plan minimums, memory per vCPU and cache fees change the total more than the headline rate.
